Blyde River Canyon

Blyde River Canyon is one of the largest canyons in the world, stretching
approximately 25 kilometers (16 miles) in length and reaching depths of up
to 800 meters (2,600 feet).
It offers spectacular vistas, including landmarks like the Three Rondavels
(three iconic rock formations resembling traditional African huts), God's
Window (a viewpoint with stunning panoramic views), and Bourke's Luck
Potholes (naturally sculpted cylindrical potholes formed by the confluence
of the Blyde and Treur Rivers).

Mpumalanga province. Nelspruit has an airport called
Kruger Mpumalanga
International Airport (MQP), which is the closest airport to access the
canyon. From the airport, you can hire a car or arrange a guided tour to
reach Blyde River Canyon, which is approximately a 90-minute drive away.
Alternatively, if you're traveling from Johannesburg, you can take a
domestic flight to
Kruger Mpumalanga
International Airport (MQP) or opt for a
scenic road trip. The drive from Johannesburg to Blyde River Canyon takes
around 4-5 hours, depending on the route and traffic.
Once you arrive in the vicinity of the canyon, you can access various
viewpoints and attractions by car. There are well-marked roads leading to
popular spots like the Three Rondavels and God's Window, where you can park
your vehicle and explore on foot.
